Do you want to join a passionate and intentional community? Volunteering at Helping Hands is exactly that. Whether you like to bake, organize, connect with people, or help with admin tasks, we are excited to help you find a good place for you to volunteer!
How can you get started? Begin by clicking the “Volunteer Application” button, fill out the form and keep your eyes out for an email from our team looking to book a time to meet!
If you are looking to do a student placement, co-op or internship with us through your post-secondary school program, please instead fill out the “Student Placement Application” and then keep an eye on your inbox with instructions to book a time to meet.

Volunteer intake will be re-opening June 1st!
Hello! Thank you for your interest in Volunteering at Helping Hands! We have been so grateful for all of the interest we have been receiving lately. In fact, we have had so much support from our community that we are currently at capacity for volunteers. For the next few months, we will be pausing volunteer intake and will not be accepting new volunteers.
We look forward to re-opening volunteer opportunities in June! Until then, here are some options for you:
1. Join our Volunteer Waitlist! This means that you will get an email as soon as we begin accepting new volunteers again. Fill out the form below to join our waitlist.
2. Make a donation of $25! This will provide a week of coffee at Helping Hands. Every cup of coffee is an opportunity for friendship, and friendship ensures that no one has to face the hardships of poverty alone
3. Run a donation drive! Check out our item donations page and see what we’re most in need of for our free clothing store. You can run a donation drive to collect these items to drop off at Helping Hands. We’re also happy to send a speaker to tell your group about how your donations will impact the community!
