We are always looking for volunteers who are friendly, patient, open minded, and have a sense of humour :-). Your investment pays a big return – we warn all of our volunteers that they will always come out of this experience a changed person as a result of being welcomed into an amazing community.
We need volunteers to serve coffee and engage with community members in our cafe, or help customers visiting our free store (must be at least 18 years or older).
We also need volunteers to help sort donations and organize/restock our free store. This opportunity works well for groups and teenagers. For other group-volunteer opportunities, please contact us and we will discuss possibilities with the group leader.
For our various programs, we are also often in need of program leadership. Please let us know if this is something you’re interested in. We also gratefully accept voluntary support for providing meals, snacks or supplies. More information about programs specific needs are on each of the programs pages.
All of our volunteers must complete our volunteer application forms and get a current (valid within the past year) police check for us to keep on file. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering by calling 905-522-4263 or fill out the contact form below.
