Two hairdresser/barbers come and provide free haircuts from 9:30-noon to anyone that is in need of a haircut. Appointments should be made ahead or some stop by the day of just to try their luck and see if we have time. If necessary, we generally have a third volunteer available to help with hair washing.
It is all done in a true salon atmosphere complete with snacks and never ending conversation. Since this program started in September 2011 it has increasingly gotten busier and busier. We have been blessed by the relationships that have been made through the Barton Barber program. God works in wonderful and amazing ways to bless those in need, this program is no exception!
Donations of funds to purchase specialized materials are always needed.
Or volunteer your time – Any Hairstylists willing to donate any amount of their time to come in and cut hair and build into the lives of those who attend.
