We strongly believe in the work of HHSM and will continue to look for ways to support and contribute to their ever growing needs.
Chris Errington, Heating and Cooling,
We believe that the community matters, and that the people matter. They matter to us because they matter to God. We believe that Helping Hands is the embodiment of this belief, and because of this we support them, both financially and with committed volunteers.
Ancaster Village Church,
After learning about Helping Hands, I remembered growing up in the north end, and like many families we didn't have a lot of money and relied on others for help. I was very fortunate to secure a great job and made a good life for my family. So giving back to the less fortunate is a no brainer. I know how I felt when we got outside help, so it is great to return the favour.
Edwin R. Steel,
Helping Hands Street Mission is a very safe and open place to be honest and not be judged by the people who attend and run it. Everyone is treated the same. The volunteers actually care about everyone that they meet.
I have been encouraged to finish my school, and they hold me accountable to the time it will take me.
May god bless all those involved with HHSM.
My daughter Abby and I have been visiting the mission for the past 9 years. We have always been greeted with warm smiles.
We both enjoy attending Mama's Place on Thursday afternoons where we can connect and learn with other women in the community. The ladies have made us feel special and accepted. This group of volunteers have always been eager to lend an open ear and a helping hand.
The Spirit of God, the Master, is on me
because God anointed me.
He sent me to preach good news to the poor,
heal the heartbroken,
Announce freedom to all captives,
pardon all prisoners.
God sent me to announce the year of his grace
To care for the needs of all who mourn,
give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes,
Messages of joy instead of news of doom,
a praising heart instead of a weak spirit.
