It has been through the help of our wonderful volunteers and donors that the mission can do what it does. If you would like to get involved with Helping Hands, here is how you can:

Volunteer
Who can volunteer? Someone like you! We are always looking for volunteers with patience, tolerance, an open mind and sense of humour. Your investment pays a big return. we warn all of our volunteers that they will always come out of this experience a greater person because of it.

We need volunteers to help sort and display clothing in the store, help distribute clothing at the store* and distribute clothing with our mobile unit* (*must be at least 18 years or older).

Our store is located at 349 Barton Street E. and is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1 - 4 pm, and on Saturdays from 10 am - 1 pm. Our mobile clothing distribution takes place on Friday nights from 8 - 10 pm. We make stops in centrall Hamilton, the urban core, and at the corner of John and Rebecca Street.

All of our volunteers must complete an information sheet and have a current police check on file. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering at 905-746-4263 or hhsm@cogeco.ca.
